Who We Are
Society Comb is a creative and marketing agency based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this policy, "Society Comb", "we", "us" and "our" refer to us.
This policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect personal information when you visit societycomb.com, contact us, respond to our advertising on Facebook or Instagram, book a consultation, or work with us as a client.
We handle personal information in line with applicable UAE data protection law, including Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data.
Information We Collect
Information You Give Us
- Contact details: your name, phone number, email address, and company or brand name.
- Enquiry details: your role, the kind of brand you run, the services you are interested in, when you would like to start, an indicative budget range, your brand's website or social media accounts, and anything you write to us.
- Information shared during consultations and projects: briefs, brand materials, feedback and correspondence.
- Billing details for clients, such as billing name, address and tax registration number. We do not store payment card numbers.
Information We Receive From Meta
When you submit a form in one of our ads on Facebook or Instagram, Meta Platforms passes us the answers you submit, together with details such as which ad and form you used and when you submitted it. Meta may pre-fill some fields from your profile; you can review and change them before you submit.
Information Collected Automatically
When you visit our website, we and our partners collect technical information such as your IP address, device and browser type, the pages you view and how you reached the site, including any campaign tags in the link you followed. The section on cookies, the Meta Pixel and advertising explains this further.
How We Use Your Information
- To reply to your enquiry and arrange a consultation, including contacting you by WhatsApp, phone or email.
- To understand your brand's needs and prepare proposals.
- To deliver our services, manage our relationship with you and invoice for our work.
- To measure and improve our advertising and website, for example by counting how many enquiries each ad produces.
- To show our advertising to people who have visited our website or engaged with us, and to avoid showing it to existing contacts.
- To meet our legal obligations and protect our rights.
We rely on your consent where we ask for it, on the steps needed to enter into or perform a contract with you, on our legitimate interest in running and promoting our business, and on our legal obligations.
We contact you about your enquiry because you asked us to. We send other marketing messages only with your consent, and you can opt out at any time.
We do not sell personal information.
International Transfers
Some of our service providers, including Meta and cloud storage providers, store or process information outside the UAE. We transfer personal information abroad only as UAE law permits, and we take reasonable steps to make sure it stays protected.
How Long We Keep It
- Enquiries that do not become projects: up to 24 months after our last contact, after which we delete or anonymise them.
- Client records: for as long as we work together, and afterwards for as long as legal, tax and accounting requirements oblige us to keep them.
You can ask us to delete your information sooner, as explained under "Your rights".
Security
We limit access to personal information to the team members who need it, use reputable service providers, and protect our accounts with strong passwords and two-step verification where available. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will act promptly if a problem arises.
Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, you can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you and how we use it.
- Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Delete your information.
- Restrict or stop how we use it.
- Give you a copy of it in a commonly used format.
- Stop sending you marketing messages.
Making a Request
Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. This does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.
To make a request, email info@societycomb.com. We may need to confirm your identity before we act, and we will reply within the time the law allows. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the UAE Data Office.
